Obituary of Joseph Dennis Dill

Joseph Dennis Dill passed away suddenly on February 12, 2024. Joe loved flying and died doing what he loved. Joe’s other huge passion was guns and shooting of all sorts. Many wonderful memories were made on family trips that centered around  aviation or shooting events.

 

Joe grew up on a  farm north of Stratford, Ontario, but moved to Alberta in November 2014, Deciding he wanted to be a helicopter pilot in 2015, he graduated in January 2016. His first flying job was with his close friend Adriaan Bouwer, and was what brought him to Acadia Valley, Oyen, Sibbald tri-cities area.

 

Joe genuinely had a kind and caring personality that won him many loyal friends everywhere he went, and he deeply treasured all of them in return.

 

Joseph is survived by his parents, Nancy (Brandon) and Dennis Dill, his two brothers, Thomas and Matthew (fiancé Melissa Sparkes). Also survived by his grandmother Marie Brandon and grandfather Edward Dill. He also leaves behind aunts and uncles Nancy (Dill) and Jim McGuire, David and Kathy Brandon, Dan and Dawn Brandon, Cathy (Brandon) and Roger John, and Uncle David Quinlan, as well as many surviving cousins who miss him dearly.
